To weave something with black and white and a little red. I bought the book "Twill Thrills" a few years back and admired the different twill structures such as the advancing twill. The book contains patterns to make chickens as well as dinosaurs using handwoven twill material. I liked the chickens and so proceeded to warp and weave an 8 shaft advancing twill in black and white, but I carried on with some other colours. The directions to cut and sew the chickens are lacking, so I did the best I could. They turned out okay but I realized the bias stretch with handwoven cotton is greater than commercial fabric and so it was difficult to sew.
