I have started to teach this fall. It has been a fun few weeks with some great new weavers. I am starting with an Overshot Workshop and I think my students have learned a lot, but I also have learned. It is rewarding to pass on information to others, see the results and share the passion of creating a piece of cloth. There will be some changes in my methods and also the information booklet. It was a little out of order and discombobulated. This was the first time, first class and I was a little apprehensive to say the least.
Meanwhile I have signed up for a table at the Esquimalt Christmas Market and have been accepted. The date is November 18th. So it's back to the loom to weave away. My waffle weave hand towels all sold at Fibrations in the summer, so I am making some more. I also so want to have an array of items for gifts, such as wool scarves. I think we're going to have a cold winter this year (hint). My friend and fellow weaver has signed up for a table at Glenlyon Norfolk Christmas Fair November 24th.
