The weather is grand, the birds are chirping at 5am and the sun is high in the sky and present every day. No rain in sight. My looms are in the basement where it is at least 6 degrees cooler than my upstairs. So you know where I'll be.
I have just finished teaching a workshop on Huck and Bronson Lace and I have some ideas for my next project. Linen, Bronson Lace, a scarf and probably a simple 2 block design that I can weave on a 4 shaft loom. The workshop samples that I set up on the looms were about 14 inches wide, for the students to make little napkins or wash clothes. When I was initially thinking about the designs and colours, it was Easter time, and so I chose those lovely spring colours that remind me of painted Easter eggs.
